Vaccinations

For safety and hygiene reasons, we only board fully vaccinated cats. You must provide a current vaccination certificate (F3, F4 or F5) when checking in your cat.

Please note: Vaccination certificates are only valid for 12 months. If your cat’s vaccination is due close to your booking, we require it to be done at least two weeks prior to arrival.

Flea & Worm Treatment

We ask that your cat’s flea and worm treatment be up to date. We recommend Frontline, Advantage or Revolution (applied every month) or flea injections.

Medication

• All allergies and ailments must be declared when booking

• If your cat is on medication, we would appreciate it if you give us details at booking and bring ALL medications with you.

• If your cat requires medication or has special needs while at our facility, our staff are fully trained to provide such services. We do administer some injections but you need to check with the manager that we can in your circumstance.

Restraint

To ensure your feline is as safe and comfortable as possible, we request that you restrain your cat upon arrival. We suggest a carry case, harness? or a pillowcase.

Feeding

We want your cat to enjoy his or her meal times, so at Cat Utopia all cats receive an individual diet that is as close to their home diet as possible. Fussy appetites are catered for and we are happy to accommodate special feeding needs. We provide Royal Canin as well as a selection of moist (canned and fresh) foods to all cats and we have a menu of treats available for pampered pets.

Please check your chosen accommodation for the menu options included in your booking. A note on long-haired cats Some long-haired cats require daily brushing to maintain their coats. If we feel it’s necessary for your cat to be brushed daily, we will tell you at check-in time and you will be required to pay a small additional fee for the ongoing grooming.

Nail clipping

For health and safety reasons, all cats must have clipped nails. If your cat’s nails have been clipped in the past month, please advise staff so that they don’t have to clip them. Regular pedicures also help to prevent furniture clawing and accidental scratches. This makes walking on hard surfaces easier and nails don’t catch so easily on carpet. $10

Deposits and Minimum Stays

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all bookings. This deposit must be paid once you receive your confirmation letter so that we can hold your place.

There are minimum stay requirements during some school holidays, please see below:

Easter ~ 5-day minimum stay

Christmas & New Year ~ 7-day minimum stay.

Full payment must be received by 1st of December for Christmas boarding.

Payment options

Payments can be made using cash or cheque as well as American Express, Visa, Mastercard, JCB Cards, Diners Club (credit card payments can be made over the telephone or in person).
